Turtle Rock

Turtle Rock omens come from a reading by Strong Eagle's wife about our Vision Quests. She forewarns me about not feeling like I have gotten what I came for from my Quest. That I will get it!

Arriving at Strong Eagles' house we prepare to leave for Big Bend. Four of us will be "questing". Our Quests start with a sweat lodge ceremony. We finally get started to Big Bend that night.

Chapter 2 describes the desert ruggedness of Big Bend, our journey there, some of the dangers we could face, and locating our individual quest sites.

We finally arrive in the Big Bend area in the early morning hours. After catching a little sleep, we make the journey to where we will set up base camp. That afternoon, after a lecture/discussion on desert survival, Strong Eagle sends us out to find our Quest sites. In my pack, I carry the totems that Denise has given me.
