Educational Consultants
Here is a short list of some of the Educational Consultants with which I have worked. These are professionals that I have worked with and found very competent, knowledgeable, and conscientious.
Sarah Finney, MS, LMFT
Sarah
specializes in children, adolescents and young adults who struggle with
emotional, behavioral, substance abuse, psychiatric and learning
disorders.
Sarah is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a B.S. in Social Psychology and master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. Sarah consults with families nationally and abroad, helping them to identify and utilize the most appropriate treatment and education options for their children and young adults. She is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been working with adolescents, young adults and their families since 1992. Sarah has been a therapist and treatment team director in a variety of special-needs settings including an acute care eating disorder program, a therapeutic boarding school and a residential treatment center for adolescents. She has always been an outspoken advocate for families and has facilitated numerous parent training and support workshops throughout the country. Sarah is a repeat presenter at the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. Her dedication, reputation and passion for helping teens, young adults and their families are her hallmarks. When Sarah is not helping families professionally, she is enjoying her time with her husband Rod, a licensed clinical social worker specializing in adolescent care, and her son Gabriel. In addition to cherishing family time, Sarah enjoys her friends, skiing, reading and globetrotting. Sarah and her family live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tree Andrew, M.A.
Theresa
(Tree) Andrew completed her undergraduate degree at the University of
Colorado, Boulder and holds a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal
Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. She has been
working in the mental health field since 1988 with children,
adolescents, and their families in a variety of settings including a
psychiatric hospital, residential treatment center, domestic violence
shelter, public school and as a wilderness therapist at a wilderness
therapy program.
Tree became an educational consultant in 2006 and worked for a busy consulting firm before founding Tree Andrew Consulting. She has extensive experience working with families and has toured hundreds of programs. She brings a rare combination of experience to consulting as a clinician with years of clinical experience in addition to previously working as a program therapist. Her knowledge of the benefits and limitations of using a program comes from firsthand experience.
Tree brings a keen clinical eye to her work and can quickly and accurately assess a situation. Feedback from families includes appreciation and praise for her insightful, clear understanding of their child. She is ethical, compassionate, caring, committed, and knowledgeable about the complex issues that families navigate in today’s world.
Tree is a practicing psychotherapist in Colorado and a Vision Quest Guide.
She is an associate member in good standing with the Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA).
